Are you taking workout tips from Madonna? Ellie Goulding shows off muscular biceps and toned pins in Lycra

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Been working out much? Ellie Goulding showed off her biceps yesterday and is a keen runner, she revealed

She might have been leaving the ITV studios following a guest appearance on the Lorraine show, but Ellie Goulding looked like she was exiting the gym.

The Starry Eyed singer’s footwear might not have been gym friendly but her shiny Lycra tights and muscle T-shirt certainly were.

The 24-year-old strolled out of the studio in her peep-toe heels, showing off her very toned arms sparking comparison to Madonna’s bulging biceps.

Keeping fit: Goulding has also been announced as the new ambassador for SoBe, a range of vitamin infused water - which she is holding here

Perhaps Ellie has been inspired by the music legend to get fit and healthy for the upcoming summer.

After leaving the chat show, Ellie wrote on her Twitter page: ‘Was just on lovely Lorraine. Running/tattoos etc etc can be seen on facebook. Check out my awesome presenting skills. Ha’

Inspired by Madonna? Ellie showed similarities to the pop legend, who is famous for her muscles too

Ellie also revealed that she’s a keen runner and would be interested in living the Miami lifestyle of running along the beach.

She said: ‘I would love to live out there and run. I love the whole lifestyle.’

The platinum blonde star said she tries to run every day unless she’s too tired, adding: ‘It’s something I feel like, as long as I’ve got the mentality that running is part of my life and I have to do it to survive.

Busy at work: Ellie leaving the BBC Radio 1 studios in London earlier this month

‘It’s like eating and sleeping. If I do miss a day, I just make up for it the next time I go for a run.’

And the keen runner even gives her fans the chance to jog along with her through her runs with Nike.

The star gives fans from cities around the UK the opportunity to be her sidekick through her Facebook page.

Is that really you, Madonna? The Material Girl finally upgrades her wardrobe as she steps out in sophisticated and mature outfit

By Daily Mail Reporter

Who's That Girl? Madonna looked very chic and sophisticated as she stepped out in a pretty purple outfit in New York yesterday

We're so used to seeing Madonna dress like someone half her age that we almost didn't recognise her.

She looked more like her 52 years than she ever has as she stepped out in New York today to do some shopping.

The pop star looked very chic in a very pretty floral lavender dress which she had teamed with a lilac cardigan, tied in a knot at her waist.

Madonna topped the outfit off with an oversized black bag and towering pale purple shoes.

The demure outfit was certainly a far cry from some of the wardrobe choices she makes.

In recent weeks, Madonna has been going for a more mature look, as anyone at the recent fashion gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art would testify.

Dressing her age: Madonna ditched the 20-something attire for something more mature and becoming

On that night, which was dedicated to the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen, she looked sensational in a blue, floor-length silk Stella McCartney gown that was adorned with stars cascading down the back.

However, Madonna is usually seen dressing like a 20-something rock chick or in something that she should leave to her daughter Lourdes to model.

Take the Vanity Fair Oscars party, for example, when she arrived, with her teenage offspring, in a leotard covered with a lace, see-through dress which displayed her bottom.

Slobby: Madonna looked more suited to a night out clubbing than a serious director on the set of W.E. last September

Too much on show? Madonna has no problem flashing a bit of flesh, even in her 50s

In comparison, Lourdes was the more chic of the two in her aztec-print shift dress.

At the New York premiere of Nine in 2009, Madonna left little to the imagination in a low-cut black lace dress and when she opened her Hard Candy gym in Mexico last November, she wore a dress that did nothing for her at all.

Been raiding your daughter's wardrobe again? Madonna's outfit at her gym opening in Mexico would have been more suitable for someone younger

Madonna photos in auction ???

It has been 30 years since the n*de photos of Madonna was taken by photographer Lee Friedlander and appeared in Pl*yboy in 1985. Now there is one photo that is making a comeback headline as it is for sale at Christie's auction house in New York.

The Madonna Pl*yboy photo auction starts Feb. 12. Here are samples of Madonna Pl*yboy photos:

A n*de photo of Madonna, taken before erotic songs and risque costumes catapulted her to superstardom, is expected to sell for at least $10,000, Christie’s auction house says.

Madonna, then known as Madonna Louise Ciccone, may have earned as little as $25 for the 1979 modeling session.

The raw, full frontal black-and-white image, taken by Lee Friedlander, appeared in Pl*yboy in 1985 and is to be auctioned Feb. 12. Madonna was a 20-year-old dancer trying to make ends meet when she answered Friedlander’s newspaper ad seeking a n*de model, said Matthieu Humery, head of Christie’s photography department.

Humery said this week that six photos from the shoot were sold to Pl*yboy and the one up for auction is "maybe the most explicit one."

"For Friedlander it is a very typical way of taking pictures of a woman," he said. "He likes very natural women. It reflects Friedlander’s aesthetic.

"There’s not a hint of glamorizing," he added. "That’s what makes it powerful."

He said he knows of no other prints of the black-and-white photo.

Friedlander has said of the photo session that Madonna "seemed very confident, a street-wise girl. She told me she was putting a band together but half the kids that age are doing that. She was a good professional model."

The other five pictures from the Pl*yboy spread were sold together in 2003 for $7,170.

Another, later photo of Madonna, by Helmut Newton, is in the auction and is also expected to fetch $10,000 to $15,000. In that shot, also sold to Pl*yboy, Madonna is wearing lingerie, curly blond hair and a seductive expression. A man kneels beside her.

The Madonna photos are among 150 images by some of the biggest names in photography that are being sold from the collection of Leon and Michaela Constantiner.

Last month, more than 350 photographs from the New York couple’s collection were auctioned. One highlight was a collection of photographs of Marilyn Monroe that were taken by Bert Stern for Vogue magazine the year Monroe died. They sold for $146,500.

Christie’s say the record auction price for a n*de photo is the $1.6 million paid last year for Edward Weston’s 1925 "N*de."

Pregnant man - Thomas Beatie's first picture of baby girl

Thomas Beatie, better known as the world’s first pregnant man, has sold a picture of his baby girl to an American magazine for a rumoured £150,000 ($300,000).

Transgender Mr Beatie is shown cradling four-week-old Susan Juliette as she rests on a bed in the photo published on the front cover of the celebrity title People.

Wearing a white dress with purple and green detail and a large bow, the baby bears a striking resemblance to her father.

Susan Juliette was born at the St Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon on June 29 weighing 9lbs, 5oz, three months after news of her pioneering conception made headlines across the world.

"She's so precious, I just can't stop staring at her," Mr Beatie told the magazine, disclosing that the labour lasted 40 hours.

"When Susan finally came out, it was like in slow motion," he said. "I was full of wonder."

Mr Beatie, who was born a woman but is legally a man after undergoing partial sex change procedures ten years ago, fathered the child with sperm from an anonymous donor. He was able to do so because he had kept his reproductive organs.

His wife Nancy is breastfeeding the baby girl, using hormones and a breast pump to stimulate lactation.

But the couple have been criticised for embracing the publicity that their case has generated.

They have previously sold photos of Mr Beatie in the late stages of pregnancy to a British tabloid, and in April showed off his ultrasound scans during an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show.

Mr Beatie and his wife received around $300,000 from People for the baby photos, according to a magazine source quoted on the New York gossip website Gawker.

The sum, while substantial, is significantly less than is offered for the first photos of the babies of Hollywood A-list celebrities. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reportedly sold images of their new-born twins for $11 million.
