Katy Perry sports sexy suspender skirt and stockings... hours after Brand is deported

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Missing Russell: Katy Perry wore black stockings and a suspender skirt as she arrived in Tokyo on a bullet train earlier today

She had earlier tweeted how 'sad' she was feeling after her husband Russell Brand was deported from Japan.

But Katy Perry seemed determined to show him what he was missing as she strolled through Tokyo train station later in the day.

The 26-year-old singer pulled out all the stops in a black and white checked suspender skirt, black stockings and platform heels.

Crushed: Perry looked distinctively melancholy without Brand, who had been deported by the Japanese authorities due to a criminal record

And she looked distinctly melancholy, although she gamely signed autographs and chatted to fans.

Earlier in the day, Brand had been deported by Japanese authorities due to his criminal record.

He had arrived with Perry to watch her perform a show on the Asian leg of her California Dreams tour.

Perry wrote on her Twitter account: ‘So... my husband just got deported from Japan. I am so. sad. I brought him all this way to show him my favourite place #tokyodreamscrushed.'

Brace face: Perry managed to raise a smile as she chatted and signed autographs for waiting fans

She earlier expressed her indignation at Brand's treatment, tweeting: ‘It was for priors from over 10 years ago! #mamanothappy!'

Perry then campaigned to her followers to try and get her husband released and said: ‘#FREE@RUSTYROCKETS! RT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’

But she later seemed to accept the situation. 'But of COURSE I ♥ my Japanese fans & the show #MUSTGOON no matter the daily aftershocks or husband kidnappings! #it'snotrightbutit'sokay,' she wrote.

Brand had earlier tried to see the funny side of his situation as he was held at Tokyo airport.

Fan love: Perry gamely posed for pictures with fans in Japan, which she says is her 'favourite place'

He tweeted: ‘Planning escape from Japanese custody. It's bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick.’

The actor then posted a picture of himself with a chopstick and the caption: ‘Alcatraz! Shawshank Redemption! And now this! Ah, sweet blue bird of freedom!’

Russell, a self-confessed former heroin addict, was arrested in 2001 charged with criminal damage and indecent exposure when he stripped naked while covering the May Day protests for MTV, the charges were later dropped.

The comedian, who has been arrested 12 times, was arrested on suspected battery charges after he allegedly attacked a photographer who was taking pictures of Perry last year, he was released after posting $20,000 bail.

Katy Perry mocks internet sensation Rebecca Black

By GEORGINA LITTLEJOHN

Mocking: Katy Perry sang an acoustic and tuneless version of Rebecca Black's Friday on stage in Melbourne last night

There are probably a lot of teenage girls who would be thrilled to bits if Katy Perry decided to sing one of their songs during her concert.

But not Rebecca Black, who will no doubt be feeling a little disappointed with the Firework star's 'tribute' to her.

Perry poked fun at the teenager when she performed her song 'Friday' at her gig in Melbourne yesterday.

You know the words: With a sarcastic look on her face, Katy led the audience into a rendition of the chorus

And Katy decided the only way to sing it was out of tune, mocking the fact that the 13-year-old used auto-tuning on her vocals.

As she started an acoustic set during the gig, Katy, 25, with a mocking wide-eyed look on her face, declared to the crowd: 'So I can't play the flute. But that's ok. Because everything magical happens on a Friday.'

She received loud cheers from the audience inside the Rod Laver Arena, with one, who was recording the performance, declaring: 'No way'.

Big Down Under: Rebecca Black, seen here arriving at LAX airport yesterday, had 15,000 Melbourne fans singing her song

Rebecca Black, who comes from California, shot to fame earlier this year after heavily auto-tuned video of Friday went viral.

But unfortunately for the teen, it attracted a barrage of criticism and even death threats after her video was viewed by more than 110 million times on YouTube.

And Black admitted she was shaken by the vicious comments she received online.

Speaking on Good Morning America last month, she said: 'When I first saw all these nasty comments I did cry. I felt like this was my fault and I shouldn't have done this and this is all because of me. Now I don't feel that way.'
